JFL results/round-up

After last Sunday’s games there remains only one team with a 100% record in the JFL while one team is also pointless at the foot.

Starting at the top, AC Nagano Parceiro recorded their third consecutive win by a single goal as they saw off Honda Lock thanks to Yuji Unozawa’s first half strike. The two teams are now at opposite ends of the JFL spectrum as this was Lock’s third straight defeat and Nagano’s third consecutive win. Fukushima United were handed their first defeat of the season by Sagamihara SC as the Kanagawa club won 2-1 in Fukushima. Sagamihara were looking to bounce back after their 4-1 hiding against Machida last week and they scored two goals late in the second half to take control of the game. Fukushima pulled a goal back in injury time but they fell to their first JFL defeat. FC Ryukyu and Honda FC are now level on points in joint second place, just behind Nagano. FC Ryukyu beat Yokogawa Musashino 1-0 in Okinawa thanks to Shunta Takahashi’s second half strike while Honda FC were held to a goalless draw by Zweigen Kanazawa.

In Takamatsu, Shikoku, Kamatamare Sanuki were surprisingly handed their first defeat of the season by visitors HOYO Oita. Yatsunori Shimaya’s 86th minute strike saw the Oita side take the points back to Kyushu in front of just over 1,000 spectators in Takamatsu. Blaublitz Akita recorded their second win in a row, beating the Y.S.C.C. at Mitsuzawa in Yokohama. First half goals from Takeshi Handa and Masatoshi Matsuda condemned Y.S.C.C. to their second defeat on the spin.  Machida Zelvia followed up their thumping win last week with a disappointing 0-0 draw at Tochigi Uva; MIO Biwako Shiga were beaten 2-0 at home by MYFC Fujieda courtesy of second half goals from Takahiro Tanio and Takahisa Nishiyama; and Sagawa Printing were held to a 0-0 draw by Sony Sendai.

The first game Fujieda win and it is the first time Kerlon has been subbed off. Hmm

And the player who replaced him, Takahiro Tanio, went on to score the opener for Fujieda. Maybe Kerlon just isn’t that good.

Oh right, maybe he isn’t then. Perhaps he should just stick to bouncing the ball on his head then

Unfortunately, unless his career undergoes a very large renaissance, that is all he is going to be remembered for. I will keep a close eye on him at Fujieda this season to see if there are any signs of life there.
