JFL round-up

Kamatamare Sanuki remained at the top of the JFL after the weekend games and there were some high scoring affairs.

Kamatamare were 4-2 victors at Y.S.C.C. on Sunday afternoon. The visitors raced into a 3-0 half time lead thanks to two goals from Shohei Yamamoto and one from Ryosuke Kijima to effectively end the game after 45 minutes. Yasumasa Nishino added a fourth just after half time, although Sanuki will have been disappointed to have conceded two late goals that flattered the hosts.

Machida Zelvia are still hot on their tails after a dramatic 3-2 win at MIO Biwako Shiga. MIO were leading 2-1 at the break, but second half goals from Koji Suzuki and an injury time winner from Kota Fukatsu gave Zelvia the win they needed. AC Nagano Parceiro fell further behind the leaders when they were held to a draw at Sagawa Prinitng. The Printers took the lead via an early penalty but Parceiro leveled on 72 minutes through top scorer Yuji Unozawa.

Blaublitz Akita suffered a bruising 4-1 home defeat against Zweigen Kanazawa. Akita actually took the lead through Shinya Hatta, but were swept aside by the visitors who were lead once again by striker Kota Sugawara. He opened and closed Zweigen’s scoring with goals in the 20th and 85th minutes, sandwiching goals by Shinya Awatari and Roysuke Ochi. One noteworthy feature of this game was the attendance of nearly 5000. A great turn out from the locals.

Shunta Takahashi’s brace was not enough to give FC Ryukyu 3 points from their game against Sagamihara SC, as the Greens fought back to draw 2-2 in Okinawa. Takahashi had put the hosts 2-0 up at the break, but late goals from Kota Amano & Williams meant that the spoils were shared. In Sendai, Sony Sendai and HOYO Oita played out a 0-0 draw while Shunsuke Hayashi’s goal was just enough to see Yokogawa Musashino past Tochigi Uva.

Honda FC were held by visitors Fukushima United in Hamamatsu. Yasutaka Kobayashi gave United an early lead but Shibata equalized for Honda. Finally, goals from Yuta Murase and Takahisa Nishiyama gave Fujieda MYFC a comfortable 2-0 win over bottom of the table Honda Lock.

Kamatamare Sanuki are top with 29 points while Machida Zelvia sit in second on 26 points. Nagano Parceiro and Fujieda are in third and fourth respectively.
