A round up of all the action at the “wrong” end of J2.

FC Gifu 1-2 Matsumoto Yamaga

A pulsating game at Nagaragawa, but the sharpness of the visitors told in the end. Goals from Shiozawa & Tamabayashi secured the points for the visitors despite Blazhe’s injury time consolation.

Consadole Sapporo 1-3 Thespa Kusatsu Gunma

A real stunner of a result at Atsubetsu Park. Gunma went ahead when Eder tapped in from close range, and he was on hand early in the second half to do so again. Consa pulled one back through a fine Takuma Arano volley, but the wonderfully named Daniel Lovinho sealed the win for the visitors.

Kataller Toyama 1-2 Roasso Kumamoto

First half goals from Yutaro Takahashi & Nozomi Osako helped give visiting Roasso a crucial win against their fellow relegation candidates. A superb Kim Yong Keun strike gave Kataller some hope, but they couldn’t force an equalizer.

Gainare Tottori 0-1 Kyoto Sanga

14 without a win now for the beleaguered Chugoku club. Bang in form midfielder Shigeru Yokotani continued his rich vein of form, scoring the only goal of the game mid-way through the second half.

This is how the foot of J2 stands after the weekend
