To celebrate the start of the World Cup in Brasil, next Sunday’s game will have a distinct Brazilian flavour surrounding it. The game itself will have a smattering of ex-World Cup players such as Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi, Alessandro Santos & Masashi Oguro and so hopefully the World Cup fever will be building. Here is a list of things that will happen for Brasil Day.
FREE ENTRY FOR BRAZILIANS & JAPANESE BRAZILIANS
Anyone of Brazilian nationality or Brazilian Japanese descent will receive free tickets in the back stand for the Kyoto game. Just go to the information desk outside the stadium with some identification (passport, residence card etc) and you will receive your free ticket. If anyone has any Brazilian friends, please invite them along!
DANCE TO THE SAMBA BEAT!
To add to the atmosphere, a samba band from Gifu prefecture will perform in the stadium.
BRAZILIAN FOOD COMES TO THE FOOD VILLAGE
If you’ve ever tried Brazilian food, you know how good it is. There are a number of good Brazilian restaurants in the Gifu/Tokai area and on Sunday, there will be stalls selling Brazilian food to supporters. So, if you like Brazilian food, it will be a good day for you. If you’ve never tried it, you are in for a treat!
