One of the enduring appeals of Japanese stadia is their vast of array of supporter made banners, and FC Gifu are no different. At Gifu, the fans arrive around five hours before the game in order to hang their banners in the optimum positions. The Gifu supporters have done a great job of making some very cool and interesting banners! Here is a guide to just some of them.
These ones are hung at the “Vamos Zone” – the area which holds the hardcore FC Gifu supporters.
“Lucha Juntos” – Spanish: We fight together
“Kahraman Savascilar” – Turkish: Warrior heroes (I think). Ya sev, ya terkei can be roughly translated as “Love it or leave it”
“Boriti Zajedno” – Croatian (I think, definitely Balkan) – fight together
“Techniek Hartstocht” – Dutch for Technique & Passion (not sure who the guy is. (note to self: must check it).
