Team news:

  • Suspensions – none
  • Injuries – Atsushi Mio, Yuki Fukaya

Gifu’s injury list is easing off, and competition for places is intensifying. It would be a brave decision to change the team that won in Nagasaki, but I think Ramos will. Nazarit is too good to keep on the bench, but Namba deserves to keep his place after his two goals last week. Personally I’d like to see Higa keep his place and Endo playing. These two youngsters have stood out for Gifu this year when they’ve played.

For Ehime, midfielder and ex-Grampus player Keiji Yoshimura is suspended for this one. Gifu will have to be wary of the in-form Yuki Horigome – especially when he gets the ball on his left foot within shooting distance. In the last month he has scored two beautiful goals, both curling into the top corner from 20-25 yards out. It is imperative to limit his time on the ball.

My predicted FC Gifu starting XI:

Kawaguchi, Masuyama, Abe, Kitani, Nakamura, Higa, Henik, Miyazawa, Takachi, Namba, Nazarit
