The club announced today that goalkeeper and penalty saving expert Shogo Tokihisa has undergone surgery and will be out for a while.

Shogo sustained a knee injury during training, apparently it is meniscus/cartilage injury, and the surgery means that he will be out for around 3 months, meaning it is debatable whether he will be available to play again this season.

Gifu can still call upon Takahiro Takagi & Gakuji Ota, but Tokihisa is a popular member of the squad and his absence will be felt. Get well soon Shogo.
