One more win

After everything, it comes down to this.

After all the defeats, all the let downs, all the times when we’ve thought it is over – it comes down to this one game.

After all the bits of Leo brilliance, the Tokizawa saves, the additional time winners, the times when we dug deep to salvage something – it comes down to this final act.

We are Gifu, and we need just one more big performance.

Well written, and (nearly) spot on. Against Tokyo Verdy, Namba’s off the ball running & pressing was rewarded; Enigmatic Leo Miniero produced again as well, as did the rest of the squad (though against damp squid match for Verdy- FCG FINALLY entertained!).
    Your take on shunning Yoshida?

If it was the club’s decision to get rid of Yoshida, I’m not sure about it because I think he finally figured things out towards the end of the year – he won three out of the last four and we were particularly unlucky in the loss at Kumamoto.

If Yoshida decided to leave for whatever reason, I’m ok with that. He leaves with his reputation intact, if not enhanced.

The new manager has quite a good reputation in Japan. He worked with Okada & the national team in the 2010 world cup, and took Kyoto to two third place finishes in 2013 & 2014. People in the know say he’s a good coach of players and I’d expect the team to be more organized next year.

So far the club have released a few of the older/longer serving players. It’ll be interesting to see the kind of player we bring in – It wouldn’t surprise me to see a few players from Kyoto/who have been at Kyoto come in.

Thanks for the update Stu. Btw, who’s the new coach? Yet to be announced?
Keep up the good work brother; I’ll spread the word around for next season.
        We are Gifu!
